You can also adjust the highlights, shadows, and midtones using the shadow, highlight, or midtone eyedropper button in the Levels or Curves dialog box.
For example, you might have an image that contains a lot of white and is therefore washed out in appearance. Click the highlight eyedropper, and then click a pixel in the image that is not as white. The highlight in the image is remapped to the new color, giving the picture more contrast.
To adjust the tonal range using an eyedropper:
1 | Open the Levels or Curves dialog box, and choose a color from the Channel pop-up menu. |
